The course is taught through a combination of classroom theory and practice exercises. At the end of the course there will be a theoretical and a practical assessment of what you’ve learnt.
The course is designed for individuals who wish to be able to operate a mobile crane.
Upon successful completion of the course, the participating operators will be awarded with a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card (after completion of the CPCS Technical Tests).
Any applicants must already hold a valid Group C category licence which is required to drive on open road. Applicants are also required to have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test within the last two years. A good level in spoken and written English is also required.
Upon successfully completing the course, all the operators are able to advance their knowledge and take the CPCS Blue Card training, Telescopic Handler, Slinger/Signaller, Crawler Crane, or Pedestrian Operated Tower Crane courses.
