It is appropriate for entry level candidates wishing to begin their instruction in safety and can be made part of a more comprehensive study schedule. They will also learn that fire safety is the responsibility of all staff members in the workplace.
You will be taught in a classroom setting followed by a written assessment. The test usually comprises multiple choice questions which you will be required to pass before you can be conferred an award.
Successful candidates will be given the Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness Certificate. The certificate is facilitated by the HABC - Highfield Awarding Body of Compliance.
After you have gained Level 1 certification you can confidently apply to the next corresponding qualification which is the Level 2 Award in Fire Safety Awareness.
Applicants should possess basic numerical skills as well as fluency in speaking and writing the English language. Other than that there are no specific prerequisites. This course is ideal for new employees and requires no other qualification.
