IPAF Static Boom Operator (1b)

Course Overview

If you are interested to use multiple categories of powered access equipment, you should opt for the Product Operator course instead, since this course is for a single category only.

Course Methodology & Assessment

The duration of the IPAF Static Boom Operator (1b) course is 1 day. During that time the participant will attend an introductory presentation and will have to take a pre-course theory test. The rest of the course consists of the taught theory and the practical training. In the end, the operators have to undergo a theory test and a practical assessment to prove what they learnt.

Do I Get a Certificate?

Upon successful completion of the IPAF Boom Operator (1b) course, the operators are awarded with an IPAF Certificate and an IPAF Smart Powered Access License (PAL) card which is valid for 5 years.

Should you already hold a PAL card, the Static Boom (1b) category will be added to it. Keep in mind that in this case, the existing card’s expiry date will remain the same.

What Else Can I Do?

Upon receiving the Static Boom certificate, you are eligible to chase certifications on other types of equipment. There is an extensive range of taught courses here to choose from and get you certified on various other mobile elevating platforms.

What are the Requirements for this Course?

The only requirement for this course is fluency in written and spoken English.
