SSSTS 1 Day Refresher

What is the course?

The Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher Site Safety Plus course is designed for candidates who have already successfully completed the two day Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme course.

The duration of the refresher course is one day and it is specifically designed for managers with supervisory responsibilities who are interested in updating their knowledge in regards to the legal responsibilities for health, safety, welfare and environmental issues.

How will the course be presented?

The course teaching and learning experience is highly interactive and the teaching method is based on a combination of theory, case studies, discussion between the candidates, group work and classroom presentations both as groups and individuals.

The assessment will be performed continuously from the start of the course and at the end the candidates must successfully complete a multiple choice exam.

Who should take this course?

Any active professional within the construction industry who holds a supervisory role or is interested in one, is welcome to participate in this course.

What qualification will the course provide me with?

Upon successful completion of the course you will be awarded a CITB Site Safety Plus certificate.

Entry requirements

The applicants who wish to attend this course must hold a valid Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certificate that is due to expire (Its duration is five years). A good understanding of written and spoken English is also required.

After you have successfully completed the SMSTS refresher course, you may wish to take the Site Management Safety Training Scheme course (SMSTS).
